Agreement

These terms govern your use of the instore platform operated by instore Technologies, Inc. (“instore,” “we,” “us”). By using the instore Companion Shopify app, the hold-to-try reservation system, or instore.inc/map, you agree to these terms.

What instore provides

instore provides a Shopify theme app extension that displays real-time in-store inventory levels on merchant product pages and enables a hold-to-try reservation system. This allows consumers to reserve a product at a specific store location to try before buying.

instore is not a purchase, order, or fulfillment service. A hold-to-try reservation is not a purchase. It is a temporary hold that allows a consumer to visit a store and try a product. No payment is processed through instore. No delivery or pickup order is created.

For merchants

Merchants install the instore Companion app through the Shopify App Store. By installing, you authorize instore to access your product, inventory, and location data through the Shopify API. You are responsible for ensuring your inventory data is accurate. instore displays inventory levels in approximate terms (none, some, plenty) and does not guarantee exact stock counts.

Merchants are responsible for honoring holds placed through the instore reservation system within the agreed hold window. Merchants may configure hold durations and manage reservations through the Shopify Admin dashboard.

For consumers

When you place a hold-to-try reservation, you are requesting that a store hold a product for you to try in person. This is not a purchase and does not obligate you to buy. Holds expire after the time window set by the merchant. You should visit the store within the hold period.

SMS program terms

instore sends transactional SMS messages to consumers who place hold-to-try reservations. These messages are limited to reservation confirmations, status updates, hold reminders, and hold release notifications.

By providing your phone number during the reservation process, you consent to receive these transactional messages. Consent is not required as a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your reservation activity.

To stop receiving messages, reply STOP to any instore SMS. For help, reply HELP. You may also contact us at privacy@instore.inc.

All SMS messages are sent through A2P 10DLC registered campaigns in compliance with carrier requirements and CTIA guidelines.

Availability

instore services are available in select areas where participating merchants operate. We do not guarantee availability in all regions. Inventory data is refreshed periodically and may not reflect real-time changes at all times.

Intellectual property

The instore name, platform, and associated technology are the property of instore Technologies, Inc. You may not use the instore name or branding without written permission.

Limitation of liability

instore is provided as-is. We are not liable for inventory inaccuracies, expired holds, or any loss arising from use of the platform. Our liability is limited to the fees paid for the service, if any.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms at any time. Changes will be posted at this URL. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
